Kitchen Stoves

Kitchen stoves have evaluated a lot, they used to be very big an took a lot of place in the kitchen. Nowadays a kitchen stove is built in the countertop or kitchen island. A kitchen stove is actually a 2 in 1 combination: it features an oven/microwave and a cooktop. You’ll find that the cooktop and oven are sold a lot separate, providing more possibilities for designing your kitchen.

Personally I prefer the stoves because they offer the all the cooking facilities in one place. This way you don’t have to run around all the time when preparing several dishes at the same time.

You have stoves on gas and electricity. Gas is known to its easy use for cooking and is generally preferred by professional cooks. Electricity is safer in a way, if your kid does accidentally turn on the gas it is match more dangerous then when he turns on the knob of the electricity heating element of the stove.

But today you’ll find a lot of knobs which are child safe, that keep the gas stove on NR1.

It’s up to you what you prefer, the choice between gas and electricity has become more a preference then an advantage. There is also the choice for duo; like a gas oven and electrical cooktop or vise versa.

Here are some features you might want to look for when choosing a kitchen stove:

- electronic spark ignition
- clock with timer
- oven light
- energy efficiency rating - when choosing an electrical stove
